Back to the [README](README.md). ## 0.3.2, 27 September 2026 - Search answers from the first keystroke: perps and spot are read when the session starts. Results are ranked by how well they match, the exact coin first, then by board and volume, so `hype` puts the HYPE perp on top. The top result's completion shows dim after the caret and tab takes it. Each result shows its live price and 24h change, or its odds. Enter goes to the market and clears the search; the lists are never left filtered by it. - The help is rebuilt: keys in sections, two columns where there is room, every page by its number, nothing wrapping into the margin. - Deployers: the reference pane under the venue is gone, leaving the search and the templates, and the diagram keeps a clear row beneath it. - `t` no longer cycles a filter no control shows; `--kind` still sets one. - The site switches from Install to Run after two and a half seconds. ## 0.3.1, 26 September 2026 - Search on the markets page looks through spot, perps and outcomes at once: names, coins, asset ids, HIP-3 dexes and their full names, categories, titles and deployers. Matches show live in a box over the list with a count for each board, closest first; enter takes you to the market on its own board, esc puts you back where you were. - The search box, the control pickers, the coin id jump, the settings panel and the outcome menu stand out: a thick cyan frame on a lighter ground, and the page behind them dimmed. A control's picker opens under the control, as its dropdown. - Deployers: what a venue earns sits under its diagram on one or two centred lines instead of five. - `hip4 help` describes the terminal as it is: the eight pages with Move, the board and order keys, N, and deposits on the move page. - Every document in the repository is rewritten for 0.3. - A test build refuses to send anything signed through the studio's raw requests too. ## 0.3.0, 26 September 2026 The builder terminal: every account you hold, every market on Hyperliquid, and every way to move money, from one terminal. - **Markets** has a tab for each board, spot, perps and outcomes, switched with `[` and `]` or a click, and each board has its own controls: type, venue, category and sort for perps; deployer, category, template and sort for outcomes; quote and sort for spot. The count covers every market, question legs included. The page bar marks the page you are on with an underline instead of a block. - **Markets** trades perps, HIP-3, spot and outcomes. The ticket places market, limit, take profit, stop loss and scale orders, and closes, modifies and cancels them. Cancel all covers every dex the account has orders on. Take profits and stop losses can be modified the way a limit can. Orders on every dex are read, not only the busy ones. - **Portfolio** shows every account you hold, together or one at a time: positions, orders and TWAPs, staking with each validator's name, lending with its rate, vaults, the ledger, and the curve. The first read lands in about three seconds. - **Move** transfers between perps, spot, dexes, subaccounts and HyperEVM, stakes, lends and borrows, deposits to vaults, and deposits from and withdraws to Arbitrum. Every action is shown in full, and signed only on its own keypress. - **Studio** replaces Developer: info and exchange requests, precompiles, prices, validators, signing and the chain. CoreWriter reads the live stream in plain words and builds, prices and sends an action from here. - **N** switches between mainnet and testnet anywhere and reads everything again. Testnet is drawn in amber. - `hip4 --update` replaces the binary with the latest release for the machine, checked against its published sha256. - Orders name this terminal's builder only while it is ready on the network. An account with no referrer is offered the code DFU once, with its order. - Pickers show every option; before, the last two rows were hidden. - Clicks work on every page. ## 0.2.7, 25 September 2026 - The GPU search is about 1% faster. The slope to the point below each centre is taken without negating it, since its square ignores the sign and y absorbs it; measured over 20 paired runs, faster in every one. Found by reading profanity2 side by side with it. - The terminal for Linux ships with every release now, beside the macOS one. ## 0.2.6, 25 September 2026 - The terminal itself for Linux, x86_64 and ARM, static, built from the 0.2.6 tag; the installer picks the build for the machine. Windows is not yet, and the installer there says so and points to WSL. - Add-ons are now Connectors. The tool on the tools page is called Connectors, as the site calls them; it installs the same three programs the same way. - The site at tui.hip4.dev is new: six steps from the install to the keys along the bottom, played in the terminal's own frames of the markets page, then how to enable trading and what is in it. ## 0.2.5, 25 September 2026 - Add-ons. The search on the CPU, the search on the GPU and the market opener are separate programs the terminal runs, and until now only the terminal was published. All three are now on the site for macOS, and the CPU search and the opener for Linux on x86_64 and ARM, each with its sha256. A new Add-ons tool on the tools page downloads the ones for your machine at the terminal's own version, checks every file and installs them beside it. - `vanity bench` measures a machine: its hashing path, a naive search, and the real one at several thread counts, and says which is fastest. `vanity-metal bench` does the same for GPU shapes, and `--shape` runs one. `curl -fsSL https://tui.hip4.dev/bench | sh` fetches and runs them. - The vanity README gives the search's speed at every step from a naive implementation, with the algorithm of each, as measured on the M5 Max it was tuned for. ## 0.2.4, 25 September 2026 - Known terms. `DEAD FACE FADED C0DE C0DED 1CE ACE 1CEC01D F00D BAFF1ED 0FF BAD BEEF BABE C0FFEE DEAF BADAF` are built in, and each person can add and remove words, from `vanity terms` or the vanity pane. Two finds of one score are ranked by the known words they hold, and the terminal picks the words out wherever they fall in an address. - A random search: `--random`, or `search for` in the pane, keeps anything holding known words anywhere. - Criteria that read the whole address: `count ` for how many characters fall in a set, and `repeat`, `digits`, `letters` or `any ` followed by `anywhere` for the longest run wherever it is. Each is scored as its exact improbability, in integers. The pane takes them on an `advanced` row. - The GPU search reads every new rule too, checked against the CPU on every address of every test. ## 0.2.3, 24 September 2026 - The address search runs at about 140M addresses a second on 18 threads, up from 116M. Every point is also turned by the curve's cube root of unity, so it yields six addresses for one more multiplication instead of two. Every key from a live run was checked against an independent implementation: 951 of 951. - The vanity pane can run the search on the GPU. A `search on` row switches to `vanity-metal`, a separate program at about 855M addresses a second on an M5 Max, found beside `hip4` or on PATH like `vanity` is. The forecast uses its measured rate. ## 0.2.2, 24 September 2026 - The order connection is opened when trading is armed and kept open while it is, rather than opened by the first order. Measured from Zurich this saves about 17 ms: the handshake is to a nearby CloudFront edge, and the ~250 ms that remains is the distance to the venue's origin. - Depth is published every 50 ms rather than every 250 ms, removing up to 200 ms of lag this program added to the book on its own. - The address search runs at about 115M addresses a second on 18 threads, up from 44M. Points stay affine around a centre so one inversion serves 513 of them, every point is negated for a second address with no curve work, and the two are hashed together on both lanes of the ARMv8.2 SHA3 instructions. Every key was checked against an independent implementation: 1,614 of 1,614. - A point and its negated twin share a key up to sign, so they are never independent. That was already true of any two keys in one batch. ## 0.2.1, 24 September 2026 A round of fixes from a full evaluation of the build. Nothing here changes what the terminal does; all of it changes what it does when something is wrong. Security - The address search refused to follow a symlink when writing its archive. It had opened with create rather than create-new, so a link left at that path took every private key and was chmodded to suit. It is now opened the way the wallet crate opens a key file: create-new, or stat without following, then a device and inode check against the descriptor that opened. - The archive no longer falls back to the working directory when neither `XDG_CONFIG_HOME` nor `HOME` is set. That is an error naming both, because a file of private keys should not land in whatever folder you were standing in. - Keys from `--seed-file` are written with `"seeded":true`, so a reproducible key is no longer indistinguishable from a real one in the same archive. - `Found`, `Held` and `Draw` write their own `Debug`. `Draw` derived one over the seed, which is every key of a repeatable run. - No child process inherits `HIP4_KEY`, `HIP4_KEY_FILE` or the provider token. - The terminal no longer looks in the working directory for the search binary, so running it in a directory you do not control cannot execute a planted one. - The ambient sampler writes to an unpredictable path created with `O_EXCL`, rather than one derived from the process id. - `rustls` moved past a TLS 1.3 advisory, found by the new dependency check. Correctness - A notional value above 2^63 returned one hundred-millionth of a unit instead of a large number, because a saturated unsigned value was cast and given an absolute value. It clamps properly now. - Open-ended criteria paid up to five times their stated ceiling, which made a reachability check refuse searches that were achievable. What is counted and what is paid are now separate, and the ceiling is a real one. - A crossed order book reported the tightest spread on the venue rather than no spread, and the arbitrage scan could read it as an edge. Resilience - The builder board polled once per process. Its retry loop returned on success, so the leaderboard was fetched once and never refreshed. - The websocket reconnect delay never returned to its first rung, so a long session on a healthy network settled permanently on the longest wait. - A socket that goes quiet is now treated as failed after ninety seconds. It previously left a dead market on screen looking live. - Background tasks say so when they end. None is restarted, but none is silent. - The record of departed markets, the candle series and the unreadable notes are all bounded now. - An HTTP client that fails to build no longer falls back to one with no timeout. Build - Continuous integration on Linux and macOS, plus advisory, licence and dependency checks on every push, and a universal binary build. - `just audit` and `just bench`. ## 0.2.0, 24 September 2026 Address search - Fixed: a capitalised want kept nothing, ever. The blind first pass read unknown case as lowercase and discarded every hit before the checksum was worked out. `DF97` now returns about 170k matches in four seconds where it returned none in 56 billion. - Hardware keccak on ARMv8.2, which doubled the rate to about 42M addresses a second on 18 threads. - A form replaces the criteria language, with the run reported under it: progress against the expected total, closest matches, stats and a plot. - The search runs from the pane and stops on the keypress that stops it. - `--deepen` folds a gathered seed into the system generator. `--seed-file` still replaces it, and still means anyone holding the file derives every key. - Entropy folded in as a row rather than its own tool. Accounts - App configuration panel for accounts and integrations. - Account state shown in the bottom bar. - Keys no longer need to be typed onto the command line. Builders and pages - Cumulative volume over time beside the board; the cursor lights its line. - Figures moved into stat cards, scale down the right border. - Two new pages: watched addresses, and six tools that used to be scripts. - A recurring market opens in the second it exists. - Room around the deployer diagram, which drew connectors through its own boxes when the pane was short. ## 0.1.0, 18 September 2026 First published build: catalogue, live depth, positions, an order ticket, and every builder on HIP-4 ranked by what has gone through them.
